Privacy policy

Effective date: May 3, 2026 · Last updated: May 12, 2026

This policy describes how We Budget (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using We Budget, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are & how to contact us

We Budget is a budgeting app for couples and households. For privacy questions or requests, email us at 3bdelazizrass360@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account & sign-in

When you sign in with Google, we receive information needed to create and secure your account, such as:

Profile, partner linking & security

We store data needed to run shared budgets and optional protections you enable, for example:

Budget & couple content

To provide syncing and collaboration, we process the content you add in the app, including budgets, expense entries, categories, monthly summaries, goals, and related settings stored in our cloud database.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we process a device push token (FCM token) so we can deliver alerts about partner activity or reminders. You can turn off notifications in your device or app settings where available.

Local storage on your device

Some preferences or cached data may be stored locally on your phone using the platform’s standard storage (for example, shared preferences). This stays on the device unless you clear app data or uninstall.

Subscriptions & purchases

If you purchase We Budget Premium, the transaction is processed by the platform store you use (Apple App Store or Google Play) and our subscription provider RevenueCat. We do not see or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment credentials.

We receive and store limited subscription metadata so we can deliver premium features, such as:

The platform stores (Apple, Google) and RevenueCat process the transaction itself under their own terms and privacy policies — see Apple Privacy, Google Privacy, and RevenueCat Privacy.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

We do not sell your personal information.

Your linked partner. By design, shared household data is visible to the partner you connect with in the app.

Service providers. We use Google Firebase and related Google Cloud services (including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging) to host and deliver the app. Google processes data according to its agreements and policies.

See Google’s documentation: Firebase privacy information and Google Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer (for example, merger), subject to applicable law.

5. Subscriptions, auto-renewal & payments

We Budget offers an optional auto-renewing premium subscription (“We Budget Premium”) that unlocks advanced features. Free features remain available without a subscription.

When you subscribe through the Apple App Store, the following terms apply, as required by Apple:

When you subscribe through Google Play, billing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Google Play's terms; you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the Google Play Store > Subscriptions menu.

For the full subscription terms — including refunds, the Apple end-user license (EULA), and limits of liability — please see our Terms of Use.

6. Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you ask us to delete your account and data, we follow the process described on our data deletion page, subject to legal retention obligations.

7. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

To request deletion of your account and associated data, follow the instructions on Delete my data.

You may withdraw consent for optional features (such as notifications) through device or in-app settings where supported.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to the service (including encryption in transit where supported by Firebase and transport layers). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

We Budget is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) may apply as described by Google and applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Continued use of We Budget after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
