Terms of Use

Effective date: May 12, 2026 · Last updated: May 12, 2026

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and We Budget (“we”, “us”, “our”) regarding your use of the We Budget mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use We Budget. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity that occurs under your account. If you connect with a partner inside the app, you agree that household budget data will be shared with that partner by design.

2. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use We Budget on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the platform from which you downloaded the app (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play).

3. Subscriptions & billing (Apple App Store)

We Budget offers an optional auto-renewing premium subscription (“We Budget Premium”) that unlocks features such as extended history, advanced insights, and additional collaboration tools. Free features remain available without a subscription.

Apple required disclosures. When you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store, the following terms apply:
  • Title: We Budget Premium — premium tier of the We Budget mobile application.
  • Length & content of subscription: Plans are offered on a recurring basis (for example, weekly, monthly, or annual), as shown in the in-app paywall at the time of purchase. Each plan grants access to premium features for the chosen billing period.
  • Price: The price of each plan (and, where applicable, the price per unit) is displayed inside the app before you confirm a purchase, in your local currency where supported by the App Store.
  • Free trial (if offered): If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal: The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Renewal charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the chosen package.
  • Managing & canceling: Subscriptions may be managed by you, and auto-renewal may be turned off, by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.

4. Subscriptions & billing (Google Play)

If you purchase a subscription through Google Play, billing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Google Play's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the Google Play Store > Subscriptions menu on your device. Refunds, where available, are handled according to the applicable store's policies.

5. Refunds

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to that store's refund policy. We generally cannot issue refunds for store-based purchases ourselves; please contact Apple or Google directly to request a refund. You can review Apple's policy at support.apple.com/HT204084.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the budget entries, categories, notes, goals, and other content you create in We Budget (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, sync, and display Your Content as needed to operate the Service for you and any partner you link with. We do not sell Your Content.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and handle personal information. By using the Service, you agree to that policy.

9. Third-party services

We Budget relies on third-party services to operate, including Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) and, for in-app purchases, the Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may request deletion of your account and data through our data deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms, abuse the platform, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We Budget does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for the financial decisions you make based on information in the app.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, We Budget and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $20.

13. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes affecting paid features will be communicated where required by law. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence to the extent required by mandatory consumer protection rules; otherwise, by the laws of Morocco, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law.

15. Apple-specific terms (EULA acknowledgment)

If you obtained We Budget from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and We Budget only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary. You also agree to comply with all applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
